Generator supplier needs provision for protecting drainage systems

A large supplier of generators and services, carry out work on their customer’s sites throughout the world. In this instance, one of their generators failed and resulted in a spill on the customer’s site in South Wales. The customer indicated that as the spill was due to the faulty generator, they would expect the company to deal with the cost of clean up but also would need to ensure that provision was made for any future failing.

Solution

The generator company contacted Darcy and we carried out a drainage survey on their customer’s site in South Wales to establish the vulnerable drains and also to ensure that they had an up to date plan of their drainage system. The survey identified the need for two envirovalve systems to be installed to prevent not only future spills but also to deal with Fire Water run off from the site.

Benefit

The generator company was able to provide peace of mind for their customer in providing a secure system for protecting their site and also is now able to offer other customers the facility of a protected site through the Darcy envirovalve system thus providing an additional revenue stream for their business.
